In a recent episode on Unpack podcast, a prominent Nigerian rapper , Falz, disclosed about his misgivings and concerns surrounding marital affairs.

The rapper who has maintained his single statue for sometime, expressed the challenges celebrities go through in maintaining a healthy relationship with their spouses, noting that despite their efforts to make their union a success, they still undergo constant scrutiny.

Falz also mentioned that he is reluctant to dive into a relationship due to his perspective, which contradicts with societal ideology of what a perfect relationship should be. He highlighted the difficulties in juggling between his public and private life and how this can put strain in marriages, particularly , Public figures.

In his words, “I don’t know the ideal relationship. Maybe that is one of the reasons I am not bothered to try. When I say I am bothered, I don’t know what the ideal setup would look like.

“Being an artist, being in the public eye, is it going to be public or coded? Or do you want to come out as a famous couple? I think these things are difficult to navigate.

“This is one of the biggest reasons entertainers do not get to have healthy family life. It is tough. It will always come out one way or the other. I might do it and run it coded.”

Despite the public scrutiny on celebrities’ marriages, some have taken the bull by the horn to still get married to their heartthrobs while some protect their spouses by not disclosing their identities.
